VSSM’s relief kit reaches the nomadic families of Sui village in Banaskantha…

The 60 families belonging to the nomadic community of Raval, families from Gadaliya Luhar, Oad,  Goswami Bawa having temporary settlement in the village of Sui in Banakanthafaced the worst and tragic 5 days of their lives during the worst floods the northern part of Gujarat has ever witnesses. The cyclonic conditions before and during the rains blew away their kuchha roofs, the floods swept away all their homes, their grains were all rotten, beds and mattresses were hard to recognise, at certain places only the beams of the houses stood rest all was nowhere to be seen. The families got food when VSSM team reached with the relief kits, the tarpaulins/canvas  provided in the  kit gave them the required protection against the natural     elements.

સૂઈ ગામમાં વિચરતા સમુદાયનાં 60 રાવળ, 20 ગાડલિયા લુહાર, 15 ઓડ, 5 ગોસ્વામી બાવા અસ્થાયી વસવાટ કરે. વાવાઝોડામાં કાચા ઝૂંપડા  ઊડી ગયા. સામાન તણાઈ ગયો. ખાધ સામગ્રી પલળીને કહોવાઈ ગઈ, સૂવાના ગોદડા કિચડમાં પલળીને ગોદડા તરીકે ઓળખાવાય પણ નહિ એવા થઇ ગયા હતા. કેટલીક જગ્યાએ તો બારસાખ જ ઊભી હતી બાકીનું બધું જ તણાઈ ગયું હતું. vssmની ટીમ પહોંચ્યા પછી ખાદ્ય સામગ્રી મળી. છાપરા બનાવવા કેનવાસ મળ્યું.
